A remake of the acclaimed French action thriller 36 Quai des Orfèvres, the original centred on two detectives who head the plainclothes division at Paris police headquarters who enter a quest to solve a series of armored car robberies with a promotion going to whoever catches the perpetrators. The action will be relocated to the U.S.
The original film earned 8 Cesar Award nominations. It was praised for its depiction of a side of Paris rarely seen, that of a poverty-ridden, crime-infested city.
