40-40-40 club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 40-40-40 club is the group of Major League Baseball players who have hit 40 home runs, stolen 40 bases, and hit 40 doubles all in the same season. By definition, members of the 40-40-40 club are also members of the 40-40 club.
As of 2006, there is only one member of the 40-40-40 club, Alfonso Soriano. Soriano hit his fortieth double in the fifth inning off of New York Mets pitcher Orlando Hernandez on September 22, 2006 to "found" the club.
