[edit] The Birth of 4Epeople and the ModiErmi Music PRODUCTiONS
Now let's look a little into the REALM of 4ep.us. The love affair with music started on a rainy day back in 1985 on a bumpy plain ride over the Nevada desert on the way to California from the Albuquerque International Airport. There it was!... a tune that unlike any other... starts off in my head... could it be that I am a little off-centered that perhaps it could be that I am hearing voices in my head? or it could be that some crazy commercial tune started to play in my mind but replacing all composition pieces to resemble the tune that was sounding as if there was a winded-phonograph that kept playing from the first few bars of the song-to-be and keeps repeating it as if I am suppose to pay attention. I did!
You see, unlike some people that from afar you see them smiling straight at you but they are not really with you.... hmmm, let me try a different approach. Whenever a tune hit you, or you hear this song in your head that no one has ever sang yet, you have to be prepared to focus on the chord progressions and chord changes... or in my case: "The 6 faceless figures" that play the key instruments in my head * DRUMS * BASS * KEYBOARDS * and of course the * VOCALS *. Let me quickly point out to the guitarists out there (and maybe few AIR Guitarists!) that unless you create your songs with a string instrument, the guitar is seldom heard at first but is later added to accompany the * BRASS SECTION * and my favorite section of all * THE STRINGS SECTION * These faceless figures play the songs "in-sync" the way I want it played! You know it is a fact... One can create a song and bring it forth and let others add in here and there without crowding it up, which is sure to become just plain NOISES.Herouy "Modi" Makonnen from Addis Abeba, Ethiopia
So I did pay attention to that sound I heard in my head and could not wait until I got to LAX Airport so I can rush to my brother house and unleash the chords and the vocal parts. It started off like: "If I could tell you... how much I love you... would you care to" which after about an hour or two the song was finished and aptly titled "U R ALWAYZ ON MY MIND" The first song in the ERMISONGS VAULT. How about that for a game show answer? As I sat there next to my brother's Rhodes Piano, I gazed at the song and played it again and again as if I was going to loose it or maybe the song will come back to me later in a different style or even "feel" to it... and now there are more than 500 experiences and more coming day after day. 4Epeople 1Day 1City 04:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
