[edit] Kersal Massive
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Kersal Massive, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Response
Hello Andrew_pmk, I see that you have cited this article for deletion as the subject matter is not "notable". Whilst you are completely entitled to this opinion your subjective thoughts are not representative of the ground swell to be found across the public Internet.
The number of web sites that directly reference the Kersal Massive are rapidly approaching 1000 (Source: Google search) and there is a steady hive of activity on YouTube. There must be some new definition of the word "notable" in local usage where you live, if more than 100 spin off (see meme) productions and approximately 500,000 viewings of said meme (on YouTube alone) are not notable.
It maybe that this article would better serve the public if it were merged with the geographic Kersal entry but within the UK the subject matter is notable and is being discussed by ever increasing numbers of the general population. When our office staff first encountered references to the Kersal Massive they turned to Wikipedia for some background information and were rewarded with concise, relevant, information.
There maybe other reasons why the Kersal Massive do not fit the Wikipedia "inclusion profile" but not being "notable" is not one of them. Whilst the Kersal Massive may offend your delicate sensibilities, they are notable within the UK, just as "yet another" article about gunmen in New York could be deemed to be notable in that province. I politely request that you fully research entries before citing them as "not notable", as it may well be that notable subject matter is regional or outside your personal sphere of interets.
