As an American, I would like to see America make a greater effort to attain peace in the middle east. I would also like to see americans see more positive images of Islam, and to better educate themselves on the facts of the middle-east conflict. Here is a valuable website to get people started:
I am also worried about the recent transformation occurring in America since 9/11. I abhor 'blind patriotism', which is the unquestioning obedience to political authority. True patriots hold their leaders acountable for their stewardship of the country.
I have personally witnessed an arab dictatorship trying to forge a society of 'blind patriots' and it is despicable. I am shocked to see that 'blind patriotism' is taking root in American society today and consider it a threat to western civilization.
