7.5 cm KwK 37
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 (7.5 cm Kampfwagenkanone 37 L/24) was a German 7.5 cm cannon used primarily as the chief weapon of the German medium tank the SdKfz.161 Panzerkampfwagen IV during World War II. It was designed as a weapon for use against fortifications (hence the relatively short barrel) and was effective against the early tanks of the war. Eventually it was replaced in Mk.IV service by the 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/48.
