"A Different World" is the first single by American country musician, Bucky Covington, from his debut album Bucky. He performed it at Great American Country in December 2006, and the song was released for country radio on January 16, 2007. The song is produced by Mark Miller, and will be released by Lyric Street Records, a country label of Disney's Buena Vista Music Group.
The song is a reminiscence of Covington's formative years; its lyrics illustrate examples of how much the world has changed since he was a kid. Covington states during the chorus that it was "not just a different time, but a different world."

[edit] Music Video
The video premiered on CMT's top 20 countdown on February 15th, 2007. It shows Bucky as a kid, sitting in front of an old TV. He turns the TV on and we see the adult Bucky, who is on the patio of a house. Throughout the video the young Bucky watches his older counterpart on the TV as the adult Bucky walks around a small town, meant to be like the town he grew up in. Certain kids in the town are shown leading a simpler life then what most kids live today, like the song's lyrics describe. For example when Bucky sings about how they rode bikes with no helmets, two kids are shown riding past him without helmets. During the video Bucky is also shown in a barn surrounded by vintage cars. Covington in real life is a big NASCAR fan, and this part of the video is meant to be a reference to when Bucky worked at his father's auto body shop.[1] The video ends with the adult Bucky entering the house where the young Bucky is watching. It then shows Bucky as an adult shutting off a modern day TV.
