A Hope For Home (Formerly Known as At The Very Least) is a band from Portland, Oregon. The band members are Matt Ellis,Todd Farr, Dan McCall and Ian Vidovic.
Early Career-At The Very Least
A Hope For Home started out as At The Very Least around the year 2001. The band was started by Scott Pousche, Matt Ellis, and Dan McCall. Matt was on the guitar and did lead vocals, Scott played the drums, and Dan played bass and did back up singing. ATVL started playing shows around their home towns and got lots of fans along the way. Later on ATVL, went on a small hiatus when drummer Scott Pousche went to college. Eventually the band started up again with a new sound, new members (Todd Farr, Ian Vidovic, and Kyle Cooke), and a new name (A Hope For Home).---- A Hope For Home
As ATVL came to an end the band formed into A Hope For Home. Their music focuses on the better aspects of life rather than the darker ones, as it is in so much other bands that are in the same genre. A Hope For Home got all of its fan base from ATVL and even more than that. As the band continued with their shows and music they created amazing songs such as "Light Through Such Thin Shades" which got the band noticed by many more people. Later, just as all was well in the band, Guitarist Kyle Cooke, was once again diagnosed with Cancer. After a long, and brave fight with cancer, Kyle passed away. The passing of Kyle hit the whole community extremely hard.Kyle had a huge impact on everyone he met, and inspired everyone by his story. A Hope For Home, even through Kyle's passing, pressed on with the band. They are still playing to this day, Todd moved away to college and Scott once again entered the band as a guitarist this time.
