Odo encounters a woman named Arissa and is impressed by her intelligence. Unfortunately, he soon has to arrest her. This leads to crosses, double crosses, the Orion Syndicate, odd crystals and many things not being what they seem. Even though Odo and Arissa get the chance to make love, it ends badly, with Odo heartbroken.
