[edit] Ruth's "called" shot
Yes, I was thinking it might be overkill. I should probably either put it under a standalone category, or better yet cut it back to a brief reference and point the reader to the Babe Ruth page, where it is also talked about anyway. Then I could synthesize the somewhat disparate comments.
It's usually best to avoid redundant redundancies. Wahkeenah 00:32, 16 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] ESB DVD Image
Okay, thanks. It's unfortunate that the merge has become a controversy, but I understand about the waiting. Thanks for noticing the image though, and letting me know you liked it too! PlasticBeat 18:13, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Clevon
Good catch there! — Phil Welch 18:36, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Disco Demolition Night vandal
Well, they have only vandalized once today. Because of it being an aol ip, I'd like to keep blocks short...and as they aren't currently in a period of vandalism, blocking them wouldn't do any good. As to protecting the page, I'm afraid that its current level of vandalism is below what we would normally require for full protection or even semi-protection (anons and new accounts cannot edit). If I were to protect it, then nobody but admins could edit it. The best thing I can say is keep vigilant and relist them on WP:AIV if they return and are seriously vandalizing it. Thanks! --Syrthiss 14:56, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Syrthiss. However, I have added it to WP:MVP so that lots of administrators can keep their eye on it, and be notified of vandalism very quickly. Don't let it stress you out too much right now, as we can always turn on semi-protection if needed, but being on MVP will help a lot. Fuzheado | Talk 14:58, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

- Yep, it was semiprotected last night I noticed. Ace-o-aces, please don't add the {{sprotect}} template to a page unless you are an administrator. The template itself doesn't do anything, its an admin using their protection abilities that cause a page to be protected / unprotected. --Syrthiss 15:27, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Halsted2_maria.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Halsted2_maria.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 11:48, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] CBC image
Should be able to find one. I use an X sometimes with MCV on the bottom, but in Canada the most common configuration I've seen is the Y. Will pull out something and show you. -- Samir धरà¥à¤® 20:40, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- How's this one: CBC? Samir धरà¥à¤® 20:40, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] unblock me
unblock|I haven't vandalized anything, may be another user at this IP
The IP is 208.157.149.121
- OK I can see your username hasn't been blocked directly so you might be quite right, however I can't just guess as to what your IP might be, as the unblock template you added says "If the block message says that your IP address is blocked or that your IP address was recently used by a blocked user, please paste the block message or post your IP address below as we have no way of unblocking you if your username itself was not blocked." --pgk(talk) 07:11, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Waffle House
Not only did I wash my hands, I shampooed, too. Thanks for catching that blunder. ClairSamoht 14:55, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Steven Milloy
dear ace, if you look in the talk for steven milloy, you will find discussion on why the section on environmental clusters was removed. Milloy's statement stands unopposed; there are no references provided to contradict it. Would you mind reverting, or finding an appropriate reference ? Mast Cell was the reverter. [edit] input sought
In a message to several recent editors of Schiavo-related pages, I write that: Input is sought here: Talk:Government_involvement_in_the_Terri_Schiavo_case#Edit_War_between_me_and_User:Calton.
