[edit] Boys' name or girls' name?
Although I far prefer the masculine usage, Aidan and variants are becoming more commonplace as female names. Several leading baby-name books list Aidan as a boys' or girls' name. In my professional life I have come across the name used as a girl's name. There is a female character called Aiden Burn in the popular crime drama CSI:NY.
I haven't included Aiden Burn as a link here because I think the disambiguation page should only refer to the spelling Aidan. On that subject, why was Aidan Keane's link deleted? It is now restored. Preacherdoc 21:24, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
