Akatsuki Musashi is a video game character in The Last Blade series. His design is based on Miyamoto Musashi, particularly his twin blade style.

Musashi's plot role in The Last Blade is minimal to the overall plot. He is a legendary swordsman that travels the countryside, honing his skills and challenging worthy opponents along the way. During one of his battles he was killed by another swordsman.
When Shinnosuke Kagami began his plan to open "Hell's Gate" and bring about a new world order, he resurrects Musashi to further his plans and kill innocent people. To both their chagrins, while on one of his travels, Musashi was defeated.

In The Last Blade 2, Musashi is dead and therefore does not appear in the original Neo Geo version. However, he is selectable to the player in the two-player mode of some of the ports (specifically the Neo-Geo CD and Dreamcast), where some of his combos have been expanded and improved.
