The Albertus Meyers Bridge (locally known as the Eight Street Bridge) is a long concrete span bridge with arches located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
In 1912, work began on the bridge. By 1913, the bridge was complete and was known as the 8th Street Bridge and the longest concrete bridge in the world. It was later renamed as Albertus Meyers Bridge, in honor of the well known leader of the Allentown Band. The bridge was built by Lehigh Valley Transit Company to cross the often flooded Little Lehigh Creek.
2 lanes northbound and one lane southbound 8th street crosses the bridge from Union Street to Lehigh Street. Under the bridge, the Little Lehigh Creek runs under and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive also runs under the bridge. The bridge can be seen from Fountain Park.
