Albourne

Albourne is a village and civil parish in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England. It is about five miles by road south-west from Burgess Hill. It has a population of about 600.
The village is home to a number of old and historic buildings, such as Gallops (an old timber building, and the oldest building in the village), and The Pound, which was used to impound straying animals. Both buildings were built in the 17th century. There is also the church of St. Bartholomeuw.
There is a BHS (British Horse Society) and ABRS (Association of British Riding Schools) approved riding school - Albourne Equestrian Centre, which also provides a livery service. The riding school caters for beginners and experienced riders, both children and adults.
Albourne is also just a short drive from the world famous All England Jumping Course at Hickstead.
A golf course, 'Singing Hills', can also be found in Albourne.
