Alex G. Spanos Center
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alex G. Spanos Center is a 6,150-seat multi-purpose arena in Stockton, California. It was built in 1981 at a cost of over $7 million. It is home to the University of the Pacific (UOP) Tigers basketball team, and is named after UOP alumnus Alex Spanos.
This arena was the premiere sports and entertainment venue in the Stockton area until the completion of Stockton Arena in 2005. It can hold up to 8,000 for concerts. Fewer than half of the arena's seats (3,000, to be exact) have chairbacks.
