Alexia Grinda
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alexia Grinda (born 1967) is the daughter of Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands (the prince consort of the late Queen Juliana of the Netherlands) and his mistress, the French Hélène Grinda, with whom he had an affair from 1966 to 1969. Alexia Grinda is also known as Alexia Lejeune, after her stepfather Stanislas Lejeune.
Alexia Grinda was born in the same year as Bernhard's oldest grandchild, the Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. Her name first became public during the Lockheed affair. Prince Bernhard has never denied her existence, and in the last interview he gave before his death, which was published after he died, he admitted that she was his daughter. Alexia and her mother regularly received allowances and financial support from Prince Bernhard. It has been alleged that this need for money is what led Prince Bernhard to be open to bribes from Lockheed.
