Alfonsine is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ravenna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 60 km east of Bologna and about 15 km northwest of Ravenna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,739 and an area of 106.8 km².[1]
The municipality of Alfonsine contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Fiumazzo, Taglio Corelli, Villa Pianta, Filo, Longastrino, Borgo Gallina, and Borgo Seganti.
Alfonsine borders the following municipalities: Argenta, Bagnacavallo, Conselice, Fusignano, Lugo, Ravenna.
