Allan Wu

Allan Wu (吴振宇, Pinyin: Wú Zhěnyù) is a Singapore-based Chinese-American actor and MTV Asia VJ. He is currently recognized by many people as the host of The Amazing Race Asia.
Allan is a graduate of the University of California-Berkeley but found difficulty in maintaining interest in his course. He eventually discovered his desire to become an actor after an accident made him reassess his life. Blessed with a great physique, he had a stint as a model for the Ford agency. During that time, he participated in an episode of the reality competition series Fear Factor. Taking a chance, he packed up his bags and went to Hong Kong for acting jobs. Despite struggling with limited knowledge in Mandarin and Cantonese languages, MTV Taiwan gave him a chance and he became one of their VJs. He was even able to co-host a Christmas concert. Acting jobs soon followed as he co-starred in the television drama series Wu Yan De Ai and followed by a role in the romantic comedy film I Do, I Do.
He is married to Singaporean ballerina-actress Li Lin and they have a daughter Sage and son Jonas. [1]
