Alluvial Terraces

Alluvial Terraces, also known as bars are areas of higher ground between rivers formed by erosion of old alluvium which is alluvium deposited in the past. They are also known as scalloped interfluves.
The Suface of the alluvial terraces is flat and has a southwest slope. The terraces are considered ideal for agriculture with the help of irrigation facilites.
