Andrea Kruis

Andrea Kruis (born October 22, 1962 in Rotterdam, Netherlands) is the daughter of Jan Kruis and a comics artist like her father.
Jan Kruis modelled one of the children (Catootje) from his comic Jan, Jans en de kinderen on her.
She went to the Minerva Art Academy in Groningen. Andrea illustrated several children's books. Starting in 1991 she creates comics for weekly magazines. Her first book was published in 1998.
Her work, although visibly influenced by her father, is softer and more minimalistic than his.
