Andrew Foster-Williams

Andrew Foster-Williams (born December 7, 1973) is a British-born bass-baritone classical singer.[1]
Born in Wigan, Lancashire, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, UK where he was made an Associate.
In 2006, he was named The Daily Telegraph "Classical Newcomer of the Year".
Foster-Williams has worked with many of the world's best orchestras including City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra.
His concert repertoire includes Elijah (Felix Mendelssohn), St. Matthew Passion (Bach), Symphony No. 9 (Beethoven) and Requiem in D minor (Mozart). Opera roles include: Colline (La bohème), Argante (Rinaldo), Figaro & the Count (Le Nozze di Figaro), Dandini & Alidoro (La Cenerentola) & Nick Shadow (The Rake's Progress).
Recital work includes an acclaimed reading of Winterreise (Franz Schubert). In October of 2006 he performed in the Mark Morris production of King Arthur by Henry Purcell, in Berkeley, California.
