Andrew Kenny is an artist living in Belfast. He has been in group and most recently a solo exhibition. His last Exhibition was at the Safehouse Gallery. This exhibition was called 'Travel Diaries' and was a Photography Journey through Europe.
The photographs were taken during a Travel Scholarship obtained through the Gerald O'Hare Scholarship which was offered through the University of Ulster. His photographs give a flavour and detail of each country starting in Italy going through Rome, Milan, Pompeii, Venice then through to Greece going to Athens, then up to Slovakia to Bratislava across to Prague in Czech Republic, then Berlin in Germany then finally Paris in France.
The Exhibition was a success with rave reviews given and many pieces of work sold. There was a large turnout for the opening night and continued during the following two weeks of its opening. There were other interests through the media such as the Photograph 'Imagine' being shown in the Irish News as well as an interview of the artist by the television channel Northern Visions. Included in this exhibition were some fine abstract pieces which were well received.
Andrew Kenny is studying Industrial and Furniture design at the University of Ulster.
