Andrew Smith (field hockey)

Andrew Smith (born November 1, 1978 in Melbourne, Victoria) is a field hockey striker from Australia who made his international senior debut for the national team in 2002 against India in Adelaide. He earned a place in The Kookaburras team after topping the goal scorer's list – with 23 – during the Australian Hockey League campaign in 2002. Smith, nicknamed Smitty, is considered to be a powerful and imposing attacker who possesses one of the most damaging penalty corner flicks in the national squad.
