- I presume by mainland, you are referring to Continental Europe. England's on an island. --MacRusgail 05:49, 24 March 2006 (UTC).
If the above user knows anything at all about Britain and definitions used in relation to Ulster, he would know that the island the Romans named Britannia is commonly referred to as the mainland, Ulster being a province of the UK on another island. I know of not one person who refers to Europe as the mainland. It is always called 'the Continent'. Sussexman 10:05, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
