Contrary to the below, the deleted passage was not added by "an anonym with a record of vandalism". I am that anonym, and have never been so accused. I am also unaware of any factual error, NPOV violation, etc. in the passage. However, as Fledgist is described on his userpage as Research Officer and Staff Writer for Gleaner newspapers, I will defer to his superior knowledge of the facts.

Waters achieved early recognition when her interview of then Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Manley was published in the Jamaica Gleaner. She is also supposed to have interviewed musician Bob Marley [1]. Her teaching career began at Hunter College in New York City, where she was known for her opposition to the U.S. invasion of Grenada and for arguing that the administration of Jamaican Prime Minister Edward Seaga was the product of CIA covert action.
