Anker Eli Petersen

Anker Eli Petersen (born 7 June 1959 in Tvøroyri, Faroe Islands) is a Faroese writer and artist.
He signed under the name Anker Eli many postage stamps issued in the Faroe Islands. He usually uses the arts of collage and computer-aided designing. His stamps showed scenes of Norse mythology or of christianism.
He has been designing the web site of Postverk Føroya, that must become the portal about Faroes. He illustrated many books too.
As a writer, he translated texts from Old Norse. He wrote carols for children and lyrics for Faroese singers.
