[edit] About Me
Hi, I'm new around here and getting my feet wet. I hope not to commit any major faux pas while I get started at Wikipedia. Please let me know (gently) if I do.
I earn a living by teaching piano lessons. In addition to classical music and piano performance, I also have some level of expertise in the areas of parapsychology and anomalous psychology. I'm somewhat active in these fields and most likely to contribute to pages of this nature. I also enjoy photography, gardening, and have become increasingly interested in health, wellness and physical fitness lately.
I founded a web site, Public Parapsychology, which is dedicated to advancing public scholarship in the field of parapsychology. In addition, I have also coauthored a field study on haunting-type experiences and authored several book reviews on various anomalistic and fringe topics, which have appeared in the pages of peer-reviewed journals.
No scientific field has gone without some level of controversy. I'm aware of the potential for conflict of interest because of the nature of my expertise, but I hope that Wikipedians will also assume good faith. Science is a method, not a position. My goal is to help Wikipedia articles acheive neutrality, and I am open to constructive criticism that will aid in this pursuit.
