I am a student in grade 11 at St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg,KZN, South Africa. I am busy doing a research project on Tidal Power and other renewable resources. I was wondering if anyone could help me: I am trying to find a source of power which functions using water power in some way, whether it is tidal or current that will be able to function in South African Waters. Thanks for your time. If you have any suggestions please contact me at: dealersanon@hotmail.com
"2.5 knots produces around seven kilowatt hours (kWh), five knots creates ... sixty kWh.[3] "
Even though cited, the units don't make sense. (The source has the same problem with units) The kWh is a unit of ENERGY, but the speed of the water should translate to the amount of POWER (energy/time) produced, not the total energy produced. I'll work on finding correct information. User:jpsi 5/30/06
