The Archdiocese of Cebu is one of the ecclesiastical provinces of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. It separated from the Diocese of Manila, which originally included the whole Philippine archipelago, and established as the Diocese of Cebu on 14 August, 1595. It was promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cebu on April 28, 1934. It has four suffragan dioceses, namely the: Diocese of Dumaguete, Diocese of Maasin, Diocese of Tagbilaran, and Diocese of Talibon.
