i'm arre. my wikipedia interests are mainly confined to political subjects concerning the arab world, especially western sahara, mauritania, morocco, algeria, lebanon, palestine and syria. many of these pages are under-developed, and some are a mess of bias and distortion. i try to focus on neglected subjects within these areas and create new pages.

some of the articles i have either created or substantially expanded:

• a large number of articles on western sahara, some of them big, some small, but all of them quite obscure. if you're the least bit interested in this tortured corner of the world, don't forget to pay a visit to justin's excellent western sahara portal.
• i'm also one of quite few to enjoy mauritanian history.
• ...as well as the more well-known, if not necessarily more dramatic, algerian history.
• minor PLO factions and related articles. some of those i've created include

• palestinian popular struggle front and samir ghawshah
• rejectionist front and steadfastness and confrontation front
• palestinian national initiative
• zuheir mohsen (of as-sa'iqa)
• fatah uprising and said al-muragha (abu musa)

• forgotten syrian politicians, including sami al-hinnawi, adib shishakli, rifa't al-assad, husni al-za'im etc.
• a list of massacres for the lebanese civil war
• i also dabble in arabic language articles, such as in arabic names.
• an on-going project is al-nahda, which wikipedia incredibly enough had no article on. now they do, but i'd be happy to get some assistance on it, because it needs further expansion.

This user is a member of the Western Sahara WikiProject, a WikiProject which aims to expand coverage of Western Sahara (SADR) on Wikipedia.
