[edit] Art Attack
Corneil witnesses the robbery of the Crutard by Joe the Scoundrel and is now afraid to be in a room without anyone else. Thanks to Corneil, Bernie now has two full hours of detention. Corneil drives John and Beth crazy with the whole 'afraid' thing and they see Bernie as a hero when he comes in to watch Corneil. They look up Joe the scoundrel on at school in the computer room. They find out that Joe the Scoundrel's reall name is Joseph Scally, who was put on trial for stealing paintings and jewelry but was let go after lack of evidence. When they find his address and his house, Joe is not there, Bernie beats on the walls and unwillingly opens a door in the wall and they find the Crutard and all of the paintings and jewelry and Corneil runs up to the door until Joe comes in. Corneil hides as Joe finds Bernie smothering all of the jewelry. Corneil grabs a pipe to make his voice deep and says that he is Inspector Cornelius and tells him that he is surrounded and gives him five minutes to think about what he should do. He hurries up and calls the police, pretending to be a confessing Joe. He runs back to the door as Joe runs out and says he gives up. He notices that there is no Inspector Cornelius just as the police arrive, who take them away. Bernie comes out, looking very scared. Corneil walks away as Bernie tells him to wait up, having experienced the same thing Corneil did.
[edit] City Bumpkins
Corneil and Bernie arrive at a bus stop in the country to visit Bernie's cousins. Corneil is surpsrised to see that his cousins have the same triangular head as Bernie. They won't let Corneil in the van and he has to walk all the way to the house and they also won't let him in there either. He has to stay on the porch and realizes that his suitcase is inside as it starts to rain. He bangs on the window in the middle of Cousin Herbie and Bernie's conversation and Bernie tries to get in front of the window so his cousins won't see Corneil. Corneil walks away as Bernie tries to tell him something about how he is supposed to protect the chickens from the coyotes. Corneil makes a kennel out of a wooden box and some straw. He wakes to see Cousin Jenny, Cousin Herbie, and Bernie looking over him and they take his kennel away after seeing two dead chickens in the hen house. Corneil and Bernie make a trap to catch the coyote and Bernie dresses Corneil as a chicken for bait. Bernie wakes up in a tree and sees that the plan hasn't been sprung yet. And, also, that Corneil is kind of cranky since he never got any sleep. Bernie falls off of the tree and lands in the trap, sending him into the tree. Corneil turns around just in time to see... a coyote! He runs into the barn and locks the door, knowing he doesn't have much time. He remarks that there was always a way out in the films and starts to dig under the other door on the opposite side of the barn. Just in time. Corneil runs outside and sees the coyote through the cracks of the wall. He runs away just as the coyote runs out of the door and runs under a wheel barrel and knocks the stand down, so that the wheel barrel will fall on the coyote. Jenny and Herbie walk outside to see the coyote pinned under the wheel barrel. He is now treated like a king and they make Bernie milk the cows, the hundreds of hundreds of cows. Herbie tells him he has 5 days left and he will have plenty of time as he drives away.
