[edit] Le Tallec
Just out of interest what makes you think that Le Tallec is a midfielder? When he played for Sunderland or France U21s he played upfront as far as I'm aware. The only reason he's not really played as a striker for Liverpool is more because of competition than his natural position. He's a Bergkamp-type player in my eyes. Bergkamp isn't a midfielder. aLii 00:07, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- I think he's more withdrawn than Bergkamp, a bit like Jari Litmanen who is also often considered a midfielder. I think it's debatable whether he's a midfielder or a forward - and I guess I am going on his appearances for Liverpool - but I think the term 'striker' is a misnomer, he's far from an out-and-out striker. I think in CM terms he'd be a AM/F C. 10:54, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] LFC Squad
Heh, sorry about the edit conflict just now that resulted in my overwriting some of your edit; I noticed that you had to restore Medjani to the squad list, so just wanted to let you know that it wasn't an attempt to revert your edit, but rather a simple oversight! Seb Patrick 15:00, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, I thought as much. He hasn't been the most memorable player... ArtVandelay13 15:01, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Taller banner
I noticed that you changed the banner to the bordered one with the edit summary (taller banner as standard). I never realised that the banner was actually taller - this is a fault with Internet Explorer that can be fixed by removing the text cellpadding="0" from the second line. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I think the smaller banner (as intended) looks much better, and if there's no objection, it should be the standard version. SLUMGUM yap stalk 14:03, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I didn't realise it was a mistake. To be honest, I prefer the taller banner, it stands out more. I guess we'll see what people think. ArtVandelay13 15:25, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NFFC squad
I saw your tag on Gary Holt.
I'd like to create the same feature for Norwich City players. How do I do it?!?!?! --Dweller 11:11, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, follow Template_talk:Football squad2 start for instructions. ArtVandelay13 17:50, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Manager/Coach in squad

[edit] Liverpool F.C. Reserves
The article on Liverpool F.C. Reserves has recently been nominated for deletion. I note that you have in the past contributed to the article, and was wondering whether you might participate in the debate over whether to keep it. I personally think that it is a useful place to keep information about the Reserve team which is notable in its own right, but may not be notable enough to include in the main Liverpool F.C. article without bloating it too much. I hope you'll find your way to supporting its continued existance. Cheers. Robotforaday 12:12, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Seasons
Fair enough, I see your point about table width. If I were you and I wanted to reduce width I would abbreviate the entries in the "Division" column (like Arsenal F.C. seasons) and drop the Charity Shield column entirely, as it is not as important a competition as the rest. Qwghlm 23:04, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- Also, you could also put a forced break between the words "Average" and "attendance" in the column header, to make that column narrower. Qwghlm 23:06, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Torsten Gütschow

[edit] Tube Line Template
I think it is a great idea but it will be quite big for some lines (eg: central) so a reduce in font size might be helpful but otherwise - go for it. Unisouth 08:41, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] your revert me
can you pls explain me why ? [1] --Jor70 23:05, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- External links on major articles like this are pretty contentious and shouldn't be added without discussion. Suggest it on Talk:Liverpool F.C. and see what people say. ArtVandelay13 23:10, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD Nomination: Dino Maamria
An editor has nominated the article Dino Maamria for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Noureddine Maamria. Add four tildes like this ~~~~ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Dino Maamria during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. [edit] Stephan Fürstner
- If you don't need a full name, why is it there to begin with?
- Why add his career details for FC Bayern II? I don't think stats from the reserve side meets the notable criteria.
- If fussballdaten.de does the job a lot better why not use it as a source then for the stats?
- We both know that the youth system for Bayern contains more then just a reserve side. Kingjeff 17:29, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Bayern Munich has children as young as 8 or 9 in their youth system. You might want to look at Bayern Munich Junior Team. Why remove fussballdaten.de? It was under external links. Not under references. They play in the Regional Third Division, which is a high level of senior football. Well, this is still not a career for Bayern Reserves. We both know that every member of the reserves wants to play for the 1st team. For players with a middle name. Are you saying he doesn't have a middle name? Kingjeff 18:04, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] FAID 3-11 March

[edit] Wikipedia talk:Notability (people)#Regarding notability of Football (soccer) players
Hi, seeing you are interested in football I invite you to contribute to this discussion to clarify certain issues about football player notability. I think clearer guidelines are needed to avoid repeated inappropriate nominations for deletion and time consuming discussions. Cheers! StephP 17:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
