Auburn Calloway

Auburn Calloway was the hijacker of FedEx Flight 705, now serving a determinate life sentence at the federal prison in Atwater, California.
Calloway was a Federal Express flight engineer who was emotionally unstable. He attempted to hijack and crash a FedEx DC-10 after it was revealed he had lied on his résumé with regards to his previous flying experience with the United States Navy.
In the 1994 hijacking attempt, in which Calloway was armed with a hammer and a harpoon gun, all three flight crew were critically injured, but they fought back, and Calloway was himself critically injured. The plane managed to land safely back at Memphis and all crew survived.
