Austrheim is a municipality in the county of Hordaland, Norway. It has the western most mainland point of Norway at Vardetangen

The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the farm Austrheim (Norse Austrheimr), since the first church was built there. The first element is austr 'east', the last element is heimr m 'homestead, farm'.

The coat-of-arms is from modern times (1989). The three bows represent the many bridges in the municipality.

The Mongstad complex, the largest oil port and refinery in Norway, is responsible for about 70% of all wet bulk.
