Avenue U, is a local station on the BMT Sea Beach Line of the New York City Subway. Located in Brooklyn on West 7th Street between Avenue U and Avenue T, it is served by the N train at all times and a few W trains (the first three trains to Manhattan in the morning, the last three trains from Manhattan in the evening).
The main exit at the south end of the station leads to Avenue U. The exit at Avenue T provides HEET (High Entrance/Exit Turnstile) access only. The express tracks are not used except for testing new subway cars.
