Bad-tibira

Sumerian city, located near Umma. Its probable location is modern Tell al-Madain.
Bad-tibira was an ancientThe name means metal worker in Sumerian. It was also called Παντιβίβλος Pantibiblos by Greek authors (Abydenus, Apollodorus, Berossus). It corresponds to Biblical Tubal.[citation needed]
According to the Sumerian king list, Bad-tibira "exercised kingship" before the deluge, as the second city, following Eridug.
The main god of the city was Lulal, the city's temple was E-mush-kalamma, mentioned in the tale of Inanna's descent to the underworld.
The founder of the city was the king-god Enmenluanna. It was ruled by 3 kings : Enmenluanna, Enmengalanna and Dumuzid.
