From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Barão Vermelho is a Brazilian 80's rock band lead by Frejat, who now has also a solo career.
Barão Vermelho was born in 1981, in Rio de Janeiro. Just in the next year the band found a vocalist (Cazuza) and recorded the LP "Barão Vermelho" by Som Livre and playing in a few concerts on Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Just after the second album, "2", which includes the song "Pro Dia Nascer Feliz", the national success came on 1984 with "Beth Balanço", the soundtrack of a movie of the same name. This song is also in the third album: "Maior Abandonado". In January 1985, Barão Vermelho played at Rock In Rio and in June, Cazuza left the band to pursue a solo career. Peninha and Margalhães get in the band.
