How about replacing this with some sort of "Wikistar"? - Lord Emsworth

Just an Idea-how about creating an oposite to the Barnstar, a "shame award" for vandalism or other such(It would resemble the Golden Raspberry Awards (how about something like this (its title is "shame" (its not mine) [1] ) New Babylon

Looks A LOT better. Not sure "broken" is the right word, but I catch your drift. Why not just replace the ugly one with this one, bad browsers beware. Given the purpose, the lack of transparency is not really a problem - Marshman 01:01, 17 Feb 2004 (UTC)

It is not transparent on MSIE. So here we go again. 90%-95% of internet users use MSIE. Can we postpone standards fetishism till at least half of these people have changed their habits, in other words indefinitely? Erik Zachte 04:28, 17 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Works fine on MSIE for Mac. ;)

8-bit transparent PNGs work fine in MSIE for Windows, though you don't get the smooth edges. It's a simple matter to fix in the Gimp if anyone cares to do it. --Brion 05:03, 17 Feb 2004 (UTC)

The Working Man's Barnstar is awarded for "tireless" and/or "unrelenting" work on various wikipedia activities, apparently. I'm not entirely sure how this differs from the new Tireless Contributor barnstar, which has just been created and not yet been awarded. Dare I propose that added awards on a medal have an appropriate Leaf Cluster? See my addition of a Banyan Leaf Cluster to one such award. I thought Banyan was appropriate foliage because of the association of that award being with South Asia.--iFaqeer 23:56, Sep 17, 2004 (UTC)

Somone should rework this sentence:

To give the award to someone, just edit their user page to include the image, and say why you've given it. Don't hesitate: be bold!

I have not made any major contributions to wikipedia, and thus could not possibly done something worthy of a barnstar. Could somone please change the wording so that it is more clear that a significant accomplishment should be what a barnstar is awarded for. I don't beleve that this is adequately addressed in the 'be bold' section.

Why not create a Barnstar for those who tirelessly fight vandalisim. It would be a gold barnstar with a MP-5 with a tactical light in the center. After all, these people are like police fighting criminals, otherwise Wikipedia would really be a outright mess. Lets support the WP:CVU. Martial Law 23:43, 21 December 2005 (UTC) :)
