Bateman is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Melville.
It is a mostly residential suburb which enjoys good road access to Perth City, Fremantle, the main industrial sites and the airports. A train station is due to open in July 2007 in the area. The suburb has a small shopping centre, some medical facilities, several primary schools and a private secondary high school, and is zoned for a popular government high school.
