Battle of the Crossings of Erui

In the fiction of J. R. R. Tolkien, the Battle of the Crossings of Erui was the last battle of the Kin-strife of Gondor.
After a decade of cruel rule by Castamir the Usurper, the people of Gondor rebelled, and the rightful king Eldacar of Gondor returned to his kingdom with an army of Northmen, his relatives, and the rebelling Dúnedain.
Castamir and his men were cornered at the Crossings of the river Erui, on the road from Minas Tirith to Pelargir, and Eldacar personally killed Castamir there. However, many Númenóreans of pure blood were killed at Erui.
Castamir's heirs were then besieged in Pelargir after the victory, eventually fleeing to Umbar, where a realm began independent of Gondor. This would cause further war over the next few centuries.
