Beequeen (ビークイン Bīkuin?, Beequeen in original Japanese language versions) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Beequeen in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
Beequeen's Japanese name is derived from the English words bee and queen, alluding to queen bees.

[edit] Biological characteristics
Beequeen are based on queen honeybees. They have large crown-like helmets upon their heads. The helmet has an odd appearance, with two stumpy, black-tipped horns jutting out of the sides of its head. On the sides of their orange faces extend two mandible-like projections that give Beequeen a very intimidating facial appearance. Their sinister eyes are almond-shaped and colored red. In the middle of this helmet, they bear crimson gems that have become much larger than when they were Mitsuhoney. Beequeen have a pair of small, clear wings on the back of their thoraxes, as well as black, skinny, segmented forearms with two orange fingers that resemble tarsal claws. The thorax of Beequeen are spherical in shape and have orange circles on either side of its body, where the arms attach to the body. Beequeen have the appearance of wearing an elegant, yellow ballroom gown with a black horizontal stripe running through the middle, making it look like a bee's abdomen. The abdomen resembles a beehive composed of six hollow honeycombs. If one were to look at Beequeen from below, they would see that the gown-like structure of honeycombs encase Beequeens' true abdomen.
[edit] In the video games
Beequeen made its first appearance upon the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS.
Beequeen is used by the first member of Sinnoh Elite Four, Ryou, at level 54, as his second strongest Pokémon.
Beequeen can only be obtained by evolving a female Mitsuhoney, much like how only female bees can become queens. Mitsuhoney evolves into Beequeen at Level 21. However, due to the rarity of female Mitsuhoney and Mitsuhoney's limited movepool, evolving one into a Beequeen can be quite difficult.
Beequeen has three exclusive Bug-type moves: Attack Command, a damaging move with a high critical-hit ratio; Defense Command, which raises the user's Defense and Special Defense by one stage; and Restore Command, which restores up to half of the user's maximum HP. Defense Command is equivalent to Cosmic Power while Restore Command is equivalent to Recover and Softboiled.
Beequeen's type combination of Bug and Flying makes her immune to Ground-type attacks, but also makes her especially vulnerable to Rock-type attacks. Beequeen has amazing defensive stats, with base stat values of 102 in both defenses, making her a useful tank; she may also be a decent sweeper, with base stat values of 80 in both offensive stats. However, she is very slow, even slower than her pre-evolved form, so she would be more suited to tanking or sweeping slower Pokémon. The moves Defense Command and Restore Command, especially when taken together with Beequeen's Pressure ability, will likely give her massive staying power in the D/P metagame.
