Beit Elazari
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Beit Elazari is a moshav, located in central Israel, 3 miles south of the city of Rehovot.
It was founded in 1948 by immigrants from eastern Europe, on the site of the deserted Palestinian village Al-Mughar.
Beit-Elazari is named after the agronomist Isaac Wilkanski-Elazary, founder of Israel's modern agriculture. The settlement's economy was originally based on farming; this is no longer the case.
