Two actors, Duke Mitchell and Sammy Petrillo, who were on their way to perform on Guam, find themselves lost on a seemingly treacherous island known by the natives as Kola-Kola. Though they find the inhabitants friendly, they soon learn that a mad scientist named Dr. Zabor (Bela Lugosi) lives on the island. When Duke begins to fall for Nona, the tribal chief's daughter, a jealous Dr. Zabor plans to literally make a monkey out of Mitchell.

- This film made number 24 on the DVD documentary The 50 Worst Movies Ever Made's list.
- Produced to cash in on the distributors' success in re-issuing classic horror films.
- Although Mitchell and Petrillo base their act on Martin and Lewis, the movie is patterned after Road to Bali, with actress Charlita made up to resemble Dorothy Lamour.
- Gorilla #2 was played by an uncredited Ray "Crash" Corrigan.
- "Ramona the chimp" is played by the chimpanzee Cheeta from the RKO Tarzan series.
