It ran GSM at 1900MHz, and covered North and South Carolina, and eastern parts of Georgia and Tennessee. In 2000, it became part of the Cingular Wireless network, and the BellSouth branding was dropped. It legally exists today as BellSouth Mobility DCS, Inc. d/b/a Cingular Wireless.
