Talk:Bel (mythology)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Possibly worth noting that in the Belgariad series by David Eddings, (particularly in the Belgarath the Sorcerer book in the series) whenever someone becomes a disciple of the god Aldur, the 'Bel' prefix is added to their name. --Darthemed 19:08, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
In Biblical times, "Bel" often was added to a name to signify authority. E.g., "Bel"+Name of King, "Bel"+Official, etc.
