Bermuda Agreement

In 1946, on the isle of Bermuda, U.S. and British negotiators reached the Bermuda Agreement, the first bilateral Air Transport Agreement regulating civil air transport.
After the British pressured and forced the U.S, the agreement was completed and the first – and set an example for – the many bilateral air agreements to come, currently approximately 3000.
The Bermuda Agreement was expanded in 1977.
