The Bermuda Hogges are a Bermudan football (soccer) club, founded in 2006, playing in the United Soccer Leagues Second Division. The team plays home matches at the Bermuda National Stadium.
The club was started by Bermuda legend Shaun Goater MBE, coach Kyle Lightbourne, and Paul Scope to develop the level of play in Bermuda, with the aim of a more competitive national team.
The name "Hogges" was suggested by the team's owners following a fan contest. It comes from hogs long association with Bermuda, and the toughness of the animal. [1]
