[edit] Biography
The roots of Best Foot Forward were formed by four Jr. High school kids in 1998. Brothers Kevin and Steve Kaufman got together with cousin Mike Hawes and close friend Brian Steinseifer. Intoxicated with inspiration from such bands as Sublime and The Impossibles, they started writing songs before they could even play instruments. Needless to say, nobody wanted to join their band...
New members would come and go until finally meeting drummer Jim Frangelo, trombonist Jason Ludtke, trumpetist Zach Robbins, and bassist Steve Goetz. The band called Best Foot Forward started to play shows all around the area, some with high-profile acts. They released their debut CD EP "Beyond Control" in late 2002 while their musical interests continued to broaden. In the summer of 2003, the band called it quits due to musical differences.
