Between the Fence & the Universe is an EP by recording artist Kevin Max, initially released independently in 2004 and later by Northern Records in 2005. It is a compilation of songs that Max initially recorded for his sophomore album for Nashville-based ForeFront Records, following his critically-acclaimed debut album Stereotype Be. However, Max and Forefront parted ways before a second record could ever be released. Max eventually moved to Los Angeles and went on to release some of the songs on this EP to help generate word-of-mouth publicity.
