Biotechnology High School

Biotechnology High School is a comprehensive magnet public high school in Freehold Township, New Jersey. It is a part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District. The school opened in September 2005 and consisted exclusively of an initial freshman class of 58 students, eight teachers, and two other faculty members. Seven teachers and a guidance counselor have since been hired to support the new freshman class.
The school has since expanded to contain a sophomore class. It is also temporarily housing the MCVSD Law Enforcement Program. The school has also chartered an FFA chapter recently. It has a rigorous science course which consists of eight different science classes over the four years of its curriculum. Plans are also underway to offer the International Baccalaureate program in the junior and senior years.
